This month, we’re featuring Donesa Walker, M.Ed., owner and executive director of LearningRx Shreveport/Bossier City - a powerhouse educator-turned-entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience helping students (and adults) learn smarter, not harder.

With 38 years in K–12 classrooms and leadership roles as a school administrator, district reading specialist, and dean of online programs, Donesa has built her career around one mission: improving how people learn. She’s also a nationally recognized franchise leader, named the #1 LearningRx Franchisee in 2010 and consistently ranked in the top five nationwide every year since she opened the franchise in 2008.

Today, she’s a cognitive training expert, speaker, and researcher, actively studying cognitive skills and learning while pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Psychology.
