From Pages to Plants: Growing Minds & Gardens is coming to the Urban Farm!

Join us Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 10:30AM–12:30PM at Shreveport Green Urban Farm for a morning rooted in literacy, leadership, and local food.

Free & family-friendly, all are welcome!

Inspired by the installation of our new Little Free Library and the vision of one of our longtime youth volunteers, now a Regional Student of the Year, Sanil Thorat!

This event celebrates growing both minds and gardens.

Bring a gently used book to swap, get your hands in the soil during our planting activity, learn about brain-boosting foods during an interactive nutrition lesson, and enjoy a live cooking demonstration in collaboration with the LSU AgCenter featuring fresh seasonal ingredients.
