“Asian Gardens Martial Arts Event

Join us for an afternoon celebrating martial arts, visual art, community, and the fighting spirit they share.

Presented by Tap Cancer Out SBC, with the support of Shreveport Commons, Inc., this one-of-a-kind event is about honoring the martial arts and the visual arts they inspire.

Come out and enjoy martial arts demonstrations, local artists, music, a food truck, prizes and giveaways, Tap Cancer Out merchandise, and a special live art performance by Diego Carrizales, aka Pensive.Penz. Security and a portable restroom will also be available on site.

Most importantly, this event supports a cause that is deeply personal to me. Proceeds and donations will go directly toward supporting Tap Cancer Out, a Jiu-Jitsu nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families affected by cancer.

This event is held in memory of my mom, who fought cancer and ultimately succumbed to the illness. Her strength and fighting spirit continue to inspire me and help keep this mission alive, not only in remembrance of those we have lost, but in support of everyone still in the fight today.

When our community unites, hope hits harder than cancer ever could.

Save the date for the 7th Annual Tap Cancer Out SBC Global Grappling Day: December 12.

We’ll close out the year with our one-hour grappling challenge, bringing grapplers together from across the Shreveport-Bossier area in support of the same mission. All local grapplers are invited, but spots are limited, so reach out if you’d like to participate.

Come celebrate with us in October, then join us again in December as we finish the year strong, together.
