2026 Featured Marching Band
We are beyond honored to welcome Alcorn State University’s Sounds of Dyn-O-Mite Marching Band! 
Yes—that Dyn-O-Mite sound is coming to Shreveport, and they’re bringing the heat!

• Caddo Common Park

• 2:00–5:00 PM

Right after the parade, the celebration keeps going with our Dreamfest, kicking off at 2:00 PM with:

• Food trucks

•  A bounce house

• Face painting

• DJ Bsmoove on the 1s and 2s

• Live music from the powerful, soulful Gumbo Delux Band

This is a full-family, full-community, full-joy celebration of Dr. King’s legacy, unity, and Black excellence.
