Filmed and produced entirely in Shreveport with a crew of local and regional talent, The Twin returns home for its red-carpet premiere at the Strand Theatre on Thursday, July 10. The feature began life as Hangman, a Top 20 finalist at the 2016 Louisiana Film Prize, and now stands as a testament to the city’s renewed momentum as a hub where independent films can thrive.

Inspired by Irish folklore, the story follows Nicholas, a grieving father who, after the loss of his son, starts seeing a ghostly double of himself. As visions blur the line between reality and nightmare, Nicholas must uncover buried secrets before a supernatural force consumes him and everyone he loves. A tense, atmospheric horror experience from Shreveport-born filmmakers, The Twin delivers hometown creativity on a big-screen scale.
